Georgia Quintas (Recife, 1973) is a writer, anthropologist, curator, teacher and researcher in the field of theory, philosophy and criticism of the photographic image. She has a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Salamanca (Spain), a post-doctorate in Communication and Semiotics from PUC-SP, a master's degree in Anthropology from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) and a post-graduate degree in Art History from the Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP/SP). Co-founder of the Olhavê publishing house. Author of the books "Jogos de aparência – Os retratos da aristocracia do açúcar" (2016), "Inquietações fotográficas – Narrativas poéticas e crítica visual" (2014), "Abismo da carne" (2014), "Olhavê Entrevista" (2012) and "Man Ray e a Imagem da Mulher – A vanguarda do olhar e das técnicas fotográficas" (2008).
